Everlast is a name synonymous with boxing, renowned worldwide for its high-quality boxing equipment. Established in 1910 in the Bronx, NY by 17-year-old Jacob Golomb, Everlast originally began as a swimwear manufacturer. Golomb, dissatisfied with the poor durability of swimsuits at the time, started creating suits that were guaranteed to last for a full year, and proudly named them Everlast. While the swimsuits did not withstand the test of time, the name did. Over the years, Golomb expanded the company into a retail store carrying a full range of sports equipment.

In 1917, boxer Jack Dempsey introduced boxing to Everlast, requesting protective headgear that could withstand intense training sessions. Golomb specially designed training gear for Dempsey, who went on to win the heavyweight championship in 1919 wearing gloves made by Everlast. Golomb's innovative elastic-waist trunks, known as boxer trunks, became an instant hit in 1925, replacing the leather-belted trunks previously worn by boxers.

After Jacob Golomb's passing in the 1950s, his son Dan took over the business. In 1958, Ben Nadorf joined Everlast, acquiring 50% of the company from the Golomb family. Following Dan Golomb's death in 1995, Nadorf purchased the remaining 50% and served as Everlast's president and principal shareholder until 2000. Everlast's men's and women's apparel and accessories continue to be successful both in and out of the ring, with their boxing trunks and equipment remaining industry leaders for over 90 years.
